Daughters

One look at you
when you were born,
We fell in love with you
that moment we created a bond.

The first words you spoke,
was the best music to our ears,
The first step you took
we were running around with happiness
Going completely berserk.

Your first day in school
and we were all excited and pepped up,
Watching you go to school,
took us back to our childhood.


Watching you with your friends,
deciding what you would wear and what not
Made me realize my barbie days with you
were over and gone .

We sure did have bad teen days for sure
yet all it took to get us back
was a hug.



Then came college
and you entered a new world.
Far from home, but the distance
got you even more closer to us.

You've always made us proud parents
and we thank God, for guiding you.
It's a blessing to have daughters like you two,
Who also happen to be our best friends too !!
